Enter the Del Mar Lifeguard Association Cup at the October 26 Rotary Club of Del Mar Ducky Derby Race. Qualify to win prizes while supporting beach safety.

First prize is a $500 delicious Ranch 45 gourmet take-away meal for four; includes expert wine-pairing by Riboli Family Wines.

The Del Mar Lifeguard Association (DMLA) is dedicated to the promotion of beach safety and ocean lifeguard standards through training, international exchange programs, competition, and education.

Captain Gardner Stevens, a Rotarian, created the Del Mar Lifeguard Department. Lifeguards advise, protect and rescue swimmers, surfers, divers and boaters, and provide emergency care to the sick and injured. They also deploy SCUBA and swift-water rescue teams to ocean, river and flood emergencies. DMLA members average over 1,000 ocean rescues and 1,100 medical aids per year.

A portion of the Ducky Derby DMLA Cup will be contributed to the DMLA. Support the DMLA Cup with your purchase of a 20 Buck Duck, or a Flock!
